Two Georgians have been awarded a Nobel Peace Prize. No resident of Texas, past or present, has.

Yep, Martin Luther King, Jr., in 1964 and Jimmy Carter in 2002. Most people don't know that Carter received his for the work of The Carter Center, which has eliminated diseases around the world and saved millions of lives.
